Official Gauges Description Document This 1937 dated Infantry document describes all
the official gauges used for checking the weapons used by the German army. It
describes the use of the specific gauge as well as the id code that as to be
stamped on it. |

Firing Pin Gauge for
P08. This gauge was used to
check the length and profile of the firing pin tip of the P.08. This particular
exemplar is Mauser made and it is dated 1939. In the background the page of
the German booklet that describe the aforementioned gauge.

“Stahlpatrone Lange” where used to check the P08 chamber. The
gauges marked “G” and “N” where used as “go
– no go” during the Luger P08 9mm chamber verification. This particular
set is dated 1944.
